A Simple Pumpkin

Hey, come on in and grab a cup of tea -
While you're here I'd like to show you my pumpkin collection.

On the buffet I have a vintage orange and yellow Pyrex bowl
filled with little faux pumpkins - love my Pyrex,
love my pumpkins !

There are a few ceramic pumpkins here as well, and yes, why don't we "Sit Long ... Talk Much" - how fun would that be?!

Isn't this guy the cutest thing? I bought him years ago for my mother, I believe at Hallmark. She treasured him, and when she passed away, I kept him  - his hat has gotten a nick somewhere along the way, but he's still priceless ~

Right here under the front window is a three-tier filled with pumpkins and fall leaves, all faux but beautiful bathed
in the Autumn sunlight ~

In the kitchen window, I have salt and pepper pumpkins along with a Scrabble announcement of the season ~

I love all my pumpkins, but honestly, my favorite pumpkin of all is this simple one which we brought home from Carter Mountain Orchard a few weeks ago ~

It's like all the pumpkins from my childhood - real, orange, and simple.

So I'm sharing it at Elaine's party:

  2. I love pumpkins also.....you have some great ones....I would take a marker or paint and touch up that white on the scarecrows hat....no one would really notice the break when the white is gone...trust me, this works!!

  8. I've never seen the orange and yellow pattern in pyrex and I really like it. I have a set of nesting bowls that were my grandmothers in the blue pattern like your covered dish. I love pyrex!
