Whirlwind Weekend

There was hardly time to sit down this weekend, well, except when we were attending events that required sitting!

Saturday we finally began painting the red room. This smallest of our bedrooms was red when we moved here three years ago, and you know how there are some things you just never get around to?!

Well, it's red no longer - it's now primed, and it took three of us to do it. So we're working on it and I'll will show you the finished product ... if and when it's finished, don't
be sitting on the edge of your seat!

Sunday we went to church, yes we sat during church (at least most of the time). Afterward there was a meal and meeting for the youth group. Exciting plans for the coming year. Makes me wish I was a youth again ... well, almost.

(I love this girl of mine!)

Then we rushed to my niece's church to hear Elisabeth von Trapp sing and play the guitar - she's the granddaughter of The Sound of Music von Trapp's. My great-niece Caity was in the back-up choir. Of course I thought Caity should have been the star and ... well, never mind!

When I wasn't running around like crazy, I was soaking in the fall beauty - the light, the sunsets, the leaves, the cool air. Love it! I know I said that before but really ... I love it!

What did you do this weekend? Please tell all!

Hugs ~ Mary
