I've never been a coffee drinker, isn't that unbelievable?! Just never acquired a taste, but I do love tea.
Other bloggers have coffee stations, and I always think how warm and cozy they look.
Well, Mr. Redo started drinking coffee some months back. After interviewing several people about their coffee preferences (that's what my husband calls it when I ask people questions, he says "You're interviewing again.") I learned that Folgers had a nice smooth taste. Mr. Redo loved it right off.
Meanwhile I saw this platter and plate as well as the sugar dish at Hobby Lobby - way before Christmas - at 50% off. And since I had long been looking for something to bring color and joy to my kitchen, I bought one piece each pay day. And craziness that I am, I had Mr. Redo gift them to me for Christmas.
You gotta know I loved my gift. Washing dishes and filling the crock pot is way more fun now that I have something I love to look at - my very own coffee station!

ReplyDeleteMost coffee is too strong for me. My favorite are the International Instant Coffees. I was gifted a Keurig but haven't found a coffee that I like for it, plus it is $. I ike hot chocolate and some tea. I wish I loved tea but not so much. I like your coffee station.

very cute, Mary! I've been a coffee drinker since adulthood! I used to quit then start- quit then start but now I just keep drinking it. I used to drink a lot of different herbal teas and even made my own but I never really did like it. there are too many things in life that I have to do that I don't like to do so why add tea to the mix- right?

I love coffee and drink a lot of it. We like Folgers too, we use Folgers lite with 1/2 the caffiene. Your coffee bar looks great, a fun place to visit for a fresh cuppa brew!

Your coffee station is so charming! I love the colors and the pieces you've chosen! It's so warm and cozy. I'm a coffee drinker - Peet's French Roast is my favorite! I do like tea in the afternoon - but not regular tea - non-caffeine herbal tea. I can only drink caffeine in the mornings - not after 12 noon!

So cozy and nice Mary..I bet your Hubby enjoys seeing it when he gets his coffee too..plus you got all the trimmings for half price..How great is that..I would gladly pay a dollar to sit and be "interviewed" by you Mary..I want a Keurig so badly..I am in a points program online where I earn gift cards so I am saving up that way..Sorry I have not been leaving comments..Been sick for a week..barely had the energy to push the button to turn the computer on..Hugs

ReplyDeleteCoffee drinkers here! Over the years we've tried various brands, but always come back to Community Coffee, dark roast. Black. Being from Baton Rouge where it originates, I grew up drinking it (coffee milk at the time!) and have always preferred it to other brands. We only drink it in the morning though, or we'd be zooming all day!! Love the Hobby Lobby coffee ceramics, especially the canister -- they always have the cutest stuff!
ReplyDeleteI love drinking coffee in the mornings! I'm not an all day coffee drinker, like some folks. But during the summer months..I hardly drink it. I start in on the ICED TEA before noon and drink it ALL DAY! I used to drink hot tea...but not so much now.

Hi Mary, nice to "meet" you! I found you through Claudia's blog. Your coffee station is really cute. I have a hot beverage station - coffee, teas, and hot chocolate. I drink two cups of coffee (Dunkn' Donuts beans that I grind myself) in the morning, and sometimes my son will have one. Otherwise, I'll drink herbal tea in the afternoon. My husband doesn't like coffee, only tea. And our son is the hot chocolate drinker, too.
ReplyDeleteI've been drinking black coffee since I was a teenager, and that's a very long time. Not particular about brands but Folger's is a great coffee. I also just learned how to make a perfect cup of tea, thanks to my friend in England, and find it is a wonderful treat on certain types of days.

Such a cheery station! I always drink Folgers and the Breakfast Blend is very nice and smooth. If I am off work for the day I might have a cup of decaf tea or two later in the day...but coffee in the morning for sure! :)
