From the kitchen window, I see the birds visiting the feeder outside. Watching them play (or argue!) has become something the whole family enjoys.
(75 cents, after Christmas sale at Walmart)
But there are birds inside my kitchen window, too. They seemed to accumulate until there was a whole group. Red birds ...
(Christmas ornie I just couldn't put away)
And the hanging felt birds I made here.
Then there's the
OH SNOW
message. In spite of several local reported Facebook spottings, I've seen no snow this year - it's 50 degrees most days.
But we can still hope for that one soft, beautiful snowfall of the winter, one the kids play in, then come in to sip
hot chocolate.
Having so much beauty at the kitchen window sure makes washing dishes a lot more fun!
What's the view at your kitchen window today?

I see we have something in common. I too have a scrabble stand with which I spell out words. We challenge ourselves by only using 26 letters. Right now it reads June Six - the last day of school and the day I retire.
ReplyDeleteI love all your indoor birds! When we moved into our house about 9 years ago there were no trees etc. It was a new subdivision. It was probably just last I noticed the birds start to move into the newly grown trees around here! It took a long time. I have a Lemon Bottle Brush tree right out my kitchen window about the sink. I am scared of hummingbirds, but my fear is easing up when I see them there...and I love the little yellow finches that come. :) Enjoy your birds and have a great day!

Mary I love to watch the birds from my window also. I love those cardinals and so filled my cubbies with them this month. Love that glass ornament...so cute! Your window would make me smile also.

It is a little dreary out my window but I am smiling and staying inside:) Have a blessed day dear Mary, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had snow yet, but normally if it snows, it's later in the winter. Some years we don't get snow at all. The weather is cold and rainy and the skies look gray, so this is the perfect time for it time for snow if it was coming. Those birds look like they bring a little brightness to your day!
ReplyDeleteI love all the birdies you have, especially the cardinals. I couldn't yet put away my favorite Xmas mug which has a cardinal on it.
ReplyDeleteWe have snow and we were having freezing temperatures. But yesterday it warmed and today the driveway is all melted and temperatures are lovely. It won't last though.
Happy New Year!
