Sunday Morning - 1.27.13

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

2 Timothy 1:7 NIV

(footprints from the birds we feed this winter)

As a person who has battled anxiety and depression most of my life, this verse is so encouraging to me.

I'm only just learning to daily recognize that fear does not come from God, and I don't have to live with it.

When I start having fearful thoughts, as soon as I recognize them I lift my hands and say, "I will trust the Lord."

Peace follows.

I am so thankful for God's peace.

Hugs ~ Mary
