I'm back! Mr. Redo persevered and got this old computer running! I was determined not to buy a new one in accordance with my goal not to spend any unnecessary money in 2013. So, here we go ~
Since my little visitor Allison suggested I get back to crafting on my blog ... so she and her mom can follow along ... I got my crafting on last weekend.
First up is something simple ... I framed two sheets of Valentine scrapbook paper - one sheet I added a vintage Valentine to, but you could use any Valentine for this project, even a heart shape you cut out of paper - and added them to my mantel.
Using frames I already had, this project was easy and inexpensive.
Next is fun little project I saw on Free Pretty Things For You. Keren from Free Pretty Things made numbered envelopes with cards to insert. I just made the cards ... 14 of them, one for each day leading up to Valentine's Day, to give to someone special (mom, dad, husband).
Again two sheets of scrapbook paper - solid colors pink and red - and using my cutter I made the 12" x 12" sheets into 4" x 4" sheets. I already had number stickers (Michael's), so I numbered my little sheets one through fourteen. If you don't have stickers you could hand write the numbers.
On the back of each sheet, I added a Valentine's embellishment, again from Michael's.
I plan to pop one of these into Mr. Redo's lunch box each day (or hand them to him on the weekends) just for a little something fun. I'll hand write a personal note on each to bump up the fun.
So there you have it ... some inexpensive and fun craft projects for late January.

I'm so glad to hear the news about your computer. Your mantel looks "lovely". (Get it?) I like the notes, too.
ReplyDeleteSweet! Love your ideas. What a lucky Mom, Dad & Husband!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get back into cratfing myself, thanks. :) Pam
Thanks for sharing these crafts:) I am planning on doing a little Valentine crafting too perhaps this weekend! Have a blessed day dear Mary, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteYour mantle looks so cute with those framed valentine papers (I may borrow your idea!). I'm glad you got your computer up and running again. My hubby's home computer sounds like an airplane taking off and landing, I don't think it's long for this world! :-)
