Except when the blondies were in the oven, I realized it was the "blue hour" for taking photographs. So I jumped in the car and drove out to where this truck was parked by an old garage.
The license plate says "1955" but my husband told me later that it's from the 70s. Sigh.
I remembered that I wanted to photograph the antique/ consignment shop next door, especially their purple door ~
Which unfortunately looks blue in this picture and nothing I did to it in Ribbet would change it back to its original purple.
However, the nice lady who runs it hopes you will stop by to see her ... I assured her I would pass the word along. Consider yourselves invited!
By the time I got back home ... well, the picture tells it all.
Elizabeth and I tried to use a heart cookie cutter but the blondies were so hard, it couldn't go through it. I finally sawed them apart with a knife, and we tasted a bit from the middle.
I'd heard lots of good things about blondies, but can we be honest here? From now on, I'm sticking with chocolate. And staying home when something's in the oven!

Well, I think you did an awesome job:) I too have messed up something in the oven recently! Oh well, we live and learn:) Have a blessed day dear Mary, HUGS!

Mary you're too funny! I love Blondies, but have never made my own. Just ran across a recipe the other day and thought I would try. You made me laugh, but sorry; I am not a chocolate lover. I squinted a little and the door did look purple. lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
